Whispers From Below -- Underwater Game Logo
Introducing a custom "Whispers From Below" title logo — a distressed underwater horror identity designed for immersive prehistoric survival experiences.
Crafted entirely from scratch, this logo combines bold, weathered typography with a hand-illustrated prehistoric skull to establish a strong and instantly recognizable visual identity. The distressed lettering reflects the harshness of the deep ocean, while the fossilized skull reinforces the game's themes of ancient predators, isolation, and survival beneath the waves. Subtle underwater lighting and floating particles complete the atmosphere, giving the logo a cinematic presentation suitable for both in-game use and promotional media.
To ensure consistency across all branding touchpoints, I also designed a dedicated social media profile picture (PFP) version featuring the standalone skull icon. This simplified mark preserves the game's identity at smaller sizes, making it ideal for Discord servers, social platforms, community hubs, and storefront avatars without sacrificing recognizability.
Role: Responsible for the complete visual identity, including concept development, typography selection and refinement, custom skull integration, composition, texture treatment, and the creation of both the primary logo and its social media icon variant.
Design Impact / Outcome: Designed to establish an instantly recognizable brand identity while maintaining excellent readability across title screens, Steam capsules, promotional artwork, and social media. The addition of a dedicated PFP version ensures consistent branding across multiple platforms and improves recognition even at small display sizes.
